Journal Policies And Guidelines

1. Submission Guidelines

  • Manuscript Submission: Authors should submit their manuscripts electronically via the Legal House submission portal. Submissions must be in Word format and adhere to the journal’s formatting guidelines.

  • Formatting: Manuscripts should be typed in Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins on all sides. The title page must include the title of the manuscript, author’s name, affiliation, and contact information.

2. Content Requirements

  • Original Work: Submissions must be original works of the author(s) and not previously published or under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  • Abstract: Each manuscript must include an abstract of no more than 250 words summarizing the key points of the work.

  • Keywords: Authors should provide 4-6 keywords that represent the main topics of the manuscript.

3. Plagiarism Policy

  • Plagiarism Check: All submissions will undergo a plagiarism check using industry-standard software.

  • Acceptable Limit: The journal allows a maximum of 15% similarity index, excluding references and commonly used phrases. Manuscripts exceeding this limit will be returned to the authors for revision.

  • Resubmission Policy: Authors are permitted to resubmit their manuscript only once if the plagiarism level exceeds the acceptable limit.

  • Consequences: Manuscripts found to have uncredited copied content beyond the acceptable limit after resubmission may be rejected or subjected to further investigation.

4. Peer Review Process

  • Double-Blind Review: Legal House follows a double-blind review process to ensure impartiality. Authors must ensure that their manuscript does not contain any identifying information.

  • Reviewer Selection: The editorial team will select reviewers based on their expertise and relevance to the manuscript’s subject matter.

  • Review Timeline: The peer review process typically takes 4-6 weeks. Authors will be notified of the decision along with any required revisions.

5. Ethical Considerations

  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the research or interpretation of results.

  • Research Integrity: Authors are expected to adhere to ethical standards in research, including obtaining necessary permissions and consents for any studies involving human or animal subjects.

6. Publication Ethics

  • Authorship: All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors. Guest or honorary authorship is not permitted.

  • Corrections and Retractions: If significant errors are discovered in a published manuscript, the authors must notify the editorial office immediately. Corrections or retractions will be made as necessary.

7. Copyright and Licensing

  • Copyright Declaration: Upon submission, authors must provide a declaration that the content is solely their original work.

  • Copyright Transfer: Upon acceptance, authors will be required to transfer copyright to Legal House. Authors retain the right to reuse their work in future publications with proper citation.

  • Open Access: Legal House provides open access to its content, allowing readers free access to articles while ensuring proper attribution to authors.

8. Publication Fees

  • Fee Structure: Legal House charges a publication fee of Rs. 750 per accepted manuscript to cover the costs of the publication process.

  • Waivers: Fee waivers or reductions may be available for authors from low-income countries or under specific circumstances, at the discretion of the editorial board.

  • No Refund Policy: Once the publication fee is paid, it is non-refundable under any circumstances. Authors are advised to ensure their manuscript meets all submission guidelines and standards before making the payment.

9. Physical Submission

  • Finalized Research Paper: Upon final acceptance, authors are required to send physical copies of their finalized research paper to the following address: Legal House
